Who am I?

I'm Cody Chan, an insurance and financial planning consultant in Hong Kong. I noticed that many people early in their careers are tired of money videos full of big talk, yet still don't have a clear idea of how much they can save each month or whether they are properly protected.

How is information chosen and checked?

• Traceable sources only: official information from the Government, HKMA, MPFA, Hospital Authority, Department of Health and Inland Revenue Department comes first, along with the official terms of banks and card issuers. News reports are used only as support and are labelled as such.
• Every number has a source and a date: figures on the site are shown with a source link and an "as of" date.
• Regular updates: markets update automatically every day; card offers are re-checked on the 1st and 15th of each month; government healthcare policy is updated on the 1st of each month; medical costs and cancer statistics are reviewed every six months; the market notes come out every two weeks.
• Out-of-date warnings: if information passes its review date without an update, the page automatically shows "may be out of date", so you don't rely on old numbers.
• Nothing made up, no sample data: if something can't be verified, it isn't published.
• No product recommendations: general information and calculators only, and no card referral fees.
• Your data stays on your device: calculations run in your browser and are never uploaded.

The English pages are translated from the Chinese originals. Where they differ, the Chinese version prevails.
